POLICE are investigating after a drug farm was discovered during a house blaze.
Crews were called to Alfred Street, in Swinley, at 10pm on Saturday, after reports of a fire.
As firefighters from Wigan entered the building they discovered a large quantity of cannabis.
No-one was in the house at the time.
The blaze was caused by the lighting which was used to cultivate the plants.
Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the flames.
The fire caused extensive damage to the house.
A spokesman from Greater Manchester Police confirmed that enquiries were ongoing and no-one has yet been arrested.
