Car crashes into wall at busy junction after police pursuit
A man was taken to hospital after crashing his car into a wall following a police pursuit.
The collision happened on Newton Road, Lowton, at the junction with Winwick Lane, at 12.30am on Tuesday.
Firefighters from Leigh attended to cut the roof off the vehicle and release the man.
He was treated by the ambulance service and taken to hospital with a broken ankle and spinal injuries.
