Car ends up on its roof after crash in Wigan

The incident involving a Renault Clio happened in Wallgate at around 3am on Saturday.

According to fire crews, a man in his 20s had managed to get out of the car himself.

A fire service spokesman said: "A fire crew from Wigan was called to Wallgate, Wigan, just after 3am to reports of a car on its roof.

"The owner of the car, a man in his 20s, was still there at the scene and managed to get out of the car himself.

"We attended to make the vehicle safe.

"The man was given a check-up by paramedics and then we left."
