A woman escaped with only minor injuries when her car ended up on its roof after a road smash in Wigan.
The white Mini Cooper was in collision with a grey Renault Clio at the junction of Poolstock Lane and St Paul’s Avenue, Poolstock, at 7.30pm on Thursday.
The female occupant of the Mini was able to clamber out of the upturned vehicle and was treated for her wounds by paramedics at the scene. The driver of the Clio was unharmed.
St Paul’s Avenue was blocked for the best part of an hour while emergency services attended the scene and removed the damaged cars.
