Seven-year-old Braiden Prescott is battling cancer for the third time and his family has been given the devastating news that he has just months to live.

Now a crowdfunding appeal has been set up online to raise £5,000 for the Ince schoolboy and his family.

On the website, it states: “We need to raise funds to ensure his family have some benevolence to ensure every moment they have is enjoyable for them all.”

The appeal was launched on Wednesday and had already reached £1,000 by Friday morning.

Donations were pouring in from around the world, with people as far away as the USA and Australia giving money to the Prescott family.

Many of the people making donations left messages of support for Braiden.

The fund-raising appeal was created by Callum Hesketh, managing director of St Helens-based Impress Marketing And Media Limited.

He said: “I am very proud for my company to be leading this campaign to raise funds for Braiden and his family at this stressful time.

“Braiden is currently receiving end-of-life support and has shown time and time again how brave and strong he is.”
