THE news that behaviour in Wigan’s schools is under control is good news for all concerned.
The pupils will get more out of an orderly environment and staff can therefore get on with teaching.
The role of teachers as disciplinarians has changed over recent years and it is a difficult remit of their job.
Many would argue it isn’t their job and you can see their point of view, so when news such as this comes out, everybody involved with the school should be praised and long may it continue.
A well behaved classroom is a productive one and long may it continue.
