Dance students have somewhere new to practice their pliés after a popular dance school moved into its new home.
There were celebrations on Saturday as the new premises for Amelia Quigley Dance Company was officially opened.
Owner Amelia, who set up the school in January 2016, cut the ribbon and excited dancers had a look around their new studios.
There were taster classes as well as visits by Jack Higgins, from Britain’s Got Talent, and members of Pineapple Dance Studio.
The new centre, on Stephen’s Way, Goose Green, provides three studios for a host of classes, which include ballet, modern, tap, musical theatre, acrobatics, aerial arts and street dance.
The dance school had been based at St Matthew’s Parish Rooms in Highfield, but had outgrown the venue and needed more space to run extra classes and cater for more students.
