MOTORISTS were caught in tailbacks as two cars collided on the motorway in Wigan.
Emergency crews were called to the exit sliproad of junction 25 of the M6, at Marus Bridge, Wigan, shortly before 8.45am this morning (Thursday).
One lane of the northbound carriageway was closed while the wreckage was cleared, causing delays for motorists in the morning rush hour.
Paramedics attended after reports one of the drivers had suffered back injuries.
However a spokesman for North West Motorway Police Group said no one was seriously hurt.
