Appeal for witnesses after car was stolen and then chased through Wigan by police

Police are appealing for information about the theft of a car which was then pursued through Wigan by officers.

The white Jaguar F Pace car was stolen from Whelley in a burglary in the early hours of September 14, before being followed by police between 9.05pm and 9.17pm that same day.

Officers investigating what happened are now asking for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesman said: "This pursuit began in Beech Hill before heading towards Shevington, up to Standish and back towards Scholes. The car was abandoned on Lorne Street in Scholes and the occupants ran from the vehicle. The suspected driver was arrested a short time later.

"If anyone has any evidence or information regarding these offences or the pursuit, we would like to know about it. This could come in the form of an eyewitness account, dash cam footage, CCTV footage or anything else. The car was believed to have been driven around the Wigan area between the time it was stolen and the time it was recovered.
