A WIGAN carer accused of cheating an elderly man out of thousands of pounds admitted her dishonesty.

Amanda Higson, of Saddleback Road, Norley Hall, Wigan, pleaded guilty to six fraud offences between February 2009 and May 2 last year allegedly involving just under £10,000. Liverpool Crown Court heard that Higson, 38, disputes the amount involved and claims it was between £6,000 - £7,000. Judge John Roberts was also told that the victim, 85-year-old Peter Jolley, has since died.
