THREE men were arrested on drug offences after early morning raids as part of an investigation into the supply of controlled drugs in the region.
A 43-year-old man, a 36-year-old man and a 32-year-old man all from Skelmersdale were part of 13 arrested across the North West on Thursday morning.
They have all been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A and Class B drugs and will be interviewed during the course of the day.
Det Chief Insp Neil Ashton, of Lancashire Constabulary’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit, said: “This morning’s raids are part of an on-going investigation into the activities of a suspected organised crime group and a drugs supply chain that has seen cocaine and cannabis being moved across, and sold in, Lancashire, Merseyside and Scotland.
“It is vital that people continue to provide the police with information so that we can keep them safe in future.”
