Fight at Wigan shopping precinct ends with woman being stabbed in leg
A woman was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the leg at Scholes precinct last weekend.
Police were called to Scholes precinct shortly after 7pm last Sunday, April 4. They were called by paramedics who had attended a fight, and found that a 45-year-old woman had suffered stab wounds to her leg during the incident.
She was taken to hospital for treatment on her injuries, which were not thought to be critical.
It is unclear whether any arrests were made.
A spokesperson for GMP said: "At around 7.15pm on Sunday 4 April 2021, police were called by NWAS with a report that a woman had been stabbed in the Scholes Precinct area of Wigan following a fight.
"Officers arrived and a 45-year-old woman was found to have stab wounds to her leg and was later taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be critical and has since been discharged."
