An investigation has been launched after a Wigan road collision
Police officers are appealing for witnesses after a girl suffered serious injuries in a Wigan road rollision.

At around 6.30pm on Friday March 24, police were called to Wallgate close to the junction with Miry Lane to reports a 12-year-old girl had been involved in a collision with a grey Nissan Note as she was crossing the road.

The girl was taken to hospital with a series injuries head and internal injuries.

Given the serious nature of the collision, police have launched an investigation to establish what happened.

Police Constable Paul Shore of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “My thoughts are with the girl’s family at this time.

“We are looking into how this collision happened and I would urge any witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage that could help with our investigation, to please get in touch.”
