Steven Seddon, 43, of Chapel Street, Leigh, had admitted to damaging the 14-year-old’s mobile but denied assaulting her on November 28 and December 8. But while Wigan justices ruled the first attack not proved they did convict him of the second one in which the girl was slapped across the face. Seddon also pleaded guilty to a bail breach. He was ordered to pay £300 compensation.
