Man accused of two attacks

Barrie Rigby, 50, of Samuel Street, Atherton, is charged with assaulting Claire Wiltshire and Malik Bedingfields on August 17 by beating, the latter allegedly racially motivated, and to being armed with nunchucks: two batons joined by a short chain.

He was bailed on condition he does not contact either complainant nor enter Devon Road, Tyldesley, until he makes his first appearance before a Bolton Crown Court judge on October 30.
