Clifton Street neighbour Karl Greenall said: "The first I knew of anything wrong was when at lunchtime three police cars turned up and a couple of paramedics.

"A little later two CSI vans arrived but they had all gone by late afternoon. I was also told that an ambulance was outside at one point but I didn't see that.

"I have no idea what has been going on."
