Rehab for man with extreme child and animal porn pics

Simon Nuttall, 51, of Green Lane, Leigh, appeared before a Bolton judge having admitted to having 20 extreme pornographic images – 19 featuring dogs – and an indecent image of a child.

The hearing was told police had received intelligence that he may have been communicating with a child. In May 2018 they seized a tablet and phone and found the banned images. There were no charges from the original allegation.

Nuttall was given an 18-month community order which includes 100 hours' unpaid work and 20 days’ rehab activities. He was made the subject of a five-year sexual harm prevention order and must sign on the sex offenders’ register at the same time.
