Teenager in court after being armed with a machete on a borough street

A teen who was armed in the street with a machete has received an eight-month Youth Offender Panel referral.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named, admitted to having the bladed weapon in Diamond Street, Leigh, on July 10.

He must also pay £107 in court costs and a victim services surcharge.
