Trial date set for man accused of knife and vehicle offences

The trial of a man who denies possessing a knife and stolen camper van will take place in almost a year’s time.

Jason Barnes, 50, of Ramsey Close, Atherton, appeared before a Bolton judge, having already pleaded not guilty to having a bladed instrument and handling a stolen vehicle before Wigan justices.

Due to the backlog of cases a trial date of August 23, 2021 was set.
