Wigan jail inmate admits attack on prison officer

Lynden Hodgkinson, 20, currently at HMP Hindley, appeared before Wigan justices to plead guilty to assaulting emergency worker Matthew Pengelly by beating on March 13. He was sent to a young offenders’ institution for eight weeks and ordered to pay his victim £120 in compensation.
