Wigan man accused of stealing chocolate must not enter supermarket

A Wigan man will face trial after denying damaging a supermarket’s doors and stealing chocolate.

Clifford Faulkner, of Marsh Green Road in Marsh Green, pleaded not guilty to criminal damage and theft at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court.

The 36-year-old is accused of causing £200 of damage to doors at Tesco and stealing a £20 haul of chocolate, with both alleged incidents happening on October 9.

Faulkner will now face a trial at the magistrates’ court on February 1.

He was bailed and ordered not to enter the Whelley Tesco Express store.
