Wigan man admits being armed in public with a knife

A man has admitted being armed in public with a small kitchen knife.

Ameen Kochly, 38, of Farr Close in Worsley Mesnes, appeared in the dock before Wigan and Leigh magistrates to plead guilty to having the bladed weapon in Ashbourne Road, New Springs, on May 25.

Remanded on unconditional bail, he will be sentenced at the same court on January 28.
