Wigan motorist banned from road after driving under influence of cocaine and cannabis

A 27-year-old motorist who admitted driving under the influence of cocaine and cannabis has been banned from the road for two years.

Wigan justices heard that on July 5 Joshua Darbyshire, of Montrose Avenue, Worsley Hall, was stopped in a Fiat Punto on Ridyard Street by police and tested for drugs.

Readings later showed illegal quantities of both banned substances in his system.

On top of the ban he must complete 25 days of rehab activities and 50 hours’ unpaid work.
