Wigan motorist caught while four times over the drink-drive limit is banned from the roads
A three-year motoring ban has been placed on a 29-year-old who was caught at the wheel after drinking more than four times the legal liquor limit.
Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court heard that when Jordan Green was stopped in his Fiat 500, police recorded a reading of 153 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath.
The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
The 29-year-old of Liverpool Road, Ashton-in-Makerfield, was told that if he takes a course approved by the Secretary of State that ban can be reduced to 36 weeks.
But he must also take part in a 14-day drink-impaired drivers’ course, complete 10 days of rehabilitation activities and pay a victim services surcharge, court costs and fine totalling £300.
