Wigan teen denies sex assaults on younger boy

A Wigan teenager has appeared in court to deny horrific sex assaults on a younger boy.

The 15-year-old, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, faces two accusations: one of rape and another of the attempted rape of a boy under the age of 13.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between May 13 and June 26 last year.

Following a short hearing this week, the bench at Wigan Youth Court released the youngster on bail, ordering that he return on Thursday October 1 when a trial is due to take place.
