Wigan woman due before magistrates over son's truancy fails to show up at court
A Wigan woman has been found guilty of failing to ensure her son’s school attendance – after a no show at Wigan Magistrates’ Court herself.
Justices issued an arrest warrant for Michelle Cooper, 38, of Kingsdown Road, Abram, after convicting her in her absence of not preventing his truancy from Cansfield High.
