Colin Damien Faulke (49): Crow Lane West, Newton-le-Willows - Assaulted Lesley Stephenson by beating her, assaulted Cooper Greenley by beating her, assaulted Lynn Benfold by beating her: Jailed for 18 weeks suspended for 18 months, offence so serious because of a particularly disgusting series of assaults on shop staff and a member of the public, drug rehabilitation activity requirement, pay a total of £300 compensation.

David Edward Grundy (42): Lever Street, Tyldesley - Having entered as a trespasser at a Lloyds pharmacy in Tyldesley, stole medication to a value unknown, possession of a folding pocket knife without lawful authority or good reason: Jailed for 18 weeks suspended for 18 months, offence so serious as a considerable amount of drugs stolen and an appalling record of offending, drug rehabilitation requirement, pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £122, pay costs of £85.
