Warriors have confirmed their Challenge Cup quarter-final clash against Castleford will take place at the DW Stadium.
The fixture, which takes place on Saturday, June 25, falls at the end of a five-week block in the calendar of Wigan playing on the road.
And with annual work on the DW Stadium pitch usually taking place during that time, fans feared their last eight clash would be subject to a change of venue.
But planned renovation work will now begin on Saturday, May 14 after the Wigan Warriors home game against Hull FC and is due to be completed ahead of this fixture.
Details have been released of the fixture, which kicks off in front of the BBC Two cameras at 5.30pm, confirming the venue.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, May 19, at 9am.
Warriors rugby director Kris Radlinski said: “With Wembley in our sights, it would be great to see the fans turn out in large numbers to get behind the team for what will be one of the most important games of the season to date.”
Normal match-day prices will apply with a £5 discount for 2016 season ticket holders and members and junior season ticket holders can claim a free ticket.
