Driver walks away from overturned car after terrifying Wigan crash

A woman escaped unscathed after her car flipped onto its roof on a Wigan road.

Emergency services were called to Little Billinge Road, off Ormskirk Road, at around 4.30pm on Monday.

However, when the fire service arrived they found the woman who had been driving had already been helped out of the vehicle by a member of the public and had emerged without injury.

She was given precautionary treatment by the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS).

Fire crews said they believe the woman's car collided with a parked vehicle and then turned over.

The firefighters made sure the scene was safe and then left it in the hands of Greater Manchester Police (GMP).
