KIND-HEARTED pupils at the Deanery High School have been donating shoeboxes full of Christmas goods to those less fortunate than themselves.
Just short of 150 shoeboxes full of goods are set to leave the country after being donated by the children for youngsters in struggling countries.
Run by the school’s head of Religious Studies Leanne Turner, the children in the school have donated 148 shoeboxes to be sent to places such as Zimbabwe, Bosnia and Kenya.
Mrs Turner was assisted by sixth formers Rachel Appleton and Courtney Winstanley in collecting the boxes which contain all sorts of goods.
After filling the boxes with various things such as cuddly toys, clothes and stationary, they youngsters then took the time to wrap each box with Chritsmas wrapping paper before it is sent off.
