WIGAN’S two Belong retirement communities are inviting people called Elizabeth to drop in and enjoy a free drink during the extended Diamond Jubilee weekend (June 2-5).

Belong community villages are offering a drink of choice to those who show an ID to Bistro staff, confirming they share the same first name as The Queen.

Those named Elizabeth can claim their free drink at Belong Atherton on Mealhouse Lane, Atherton, plus Belong Wigan on Millers Lane in Platt Bridge.

All village facilities are open to the public, and each village Bistro is open daily from 8am. To redeem one free drink, an ID confirming that a person’s first name is Elizabeth is required such as a bank or library card.

Belong, which specialises in dementia care, is a charitable organisation and part of the CLS Group.

It operates villages providing a range of care, housing and support options for older people, as well as extensive amenities in the village centre which include bistro, hair salon, exercise studio and function rooms, all of which are open to the public as well as to the Belong community.
