Fake cash admission

A WIGAN man has admitted counterfeit banknote offences.

Martyn Jones, of Brookland Road, Whitley, pleaded guilty at Liverpool Crown Court to four offences and faces sentence next month.

The 33-year-old admitted three charges of attempting to pass counterfeit £20 notes in July this year and also another offence of passing £140 worth of counterfeit notes in the same month.

A judge further remanded Jones on bail to await his sentencing on Thursday, December 13.
