Family mourns teen killed in road smash

Family have paid tribute to a teenaged maths wiz who died in a Wigan road smash.

Muhammad Mogra was at the wheel of a Peugeot 108 which was in collision with a lorry on Castle Hill Road, Hindley, on Wednesday afternoon. It emerged last night that the Bolton 19-year-old only lost his father Anwar six months ago.

A statement from his mum Juby read: “He leaves behind a huge hole in the hearts of his sisters, younger brother and the wider extended family. As well as continuing his studies at Edge Hill University, Muhammad also took up responsibilities of being the head of the household at such a young age.

“A very talented and bright future awaited Muhammad as a maths teacher, who wanted to bring maths into the lives of young children not just in his local community but to a wider world.”
