Today marks the one-year anniversary since Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 crashed in Ukraine killing Blackpool man Glenn Thomas and 297 people on board.

A report is due out in October but Mr Thomas’ family fear it could be another Lockerbie with relatives left for years to learn the truth.

The disaster has been widely blamed on Russian rebels. But in an interview with The Gazette, his nephew said: “To find justice, we have got to be willing to wait.”
