Former mill fire sends smoke plumes seen across the borough
A fire has broken out at the Pagefield building with flames and smoke visible for miles around.
Firefighters are currently tackling the blaze at the old mill on Kenyon Road.
Details are yet to emerge about the cause of the fire.
Wigan residents have taken to social media with people reporting smoke visible from as far as Pemberton and Ince.
Photographs have also been taken with flames coming from the roof
