POLICE are hunting a man who is wanted in connection with a shooting in Wigan.
And they have issued a danger warning saying that David Mitchell should not be approached. The 30-year-old is wanted following an incident where numerous shots were fired at a house in Worsley Hall.
At 8.50pm on Friday April 5, police were called to Marigold Street following reports of a gun being fired.
Officers attended and found damage to a house consistent with a weapon’s having been discharged.
Mitchell is believed to have access to firearms and is not to be approached by members of the public. Anyone who sees him should contact police immediately.
Urgent inquiries to capture Mitchell are ongoing and anyone who is found to be harbouring him or offering him sanctuary could also face arrest and prosecution.

Sean Anthony Nolan, 25, of no fixed aaddress, is charged with attempted murder and appeared before Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday where he was remanded in custody. A 32-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been bailed until June 4 pending further inquiries.
