Motorists have been complaining about the dire state of the road surface on the junction 27 roundabout of the M6, which links the motorway with Appley Bridge, Standish and Shevington.

The well used road had been blighted with huge potholes which have become increasingly worse since the borough’s flooding over Christmas periods.

Thankfully commuters have informed the Evening Post that some of the worst potholes have now been filled, meaning the route around the roundabout is a significantly less daunting prospect for their car suspension.
