A WIGAN man accused of brandishing an imitation firearm has seen his case adjourned until a later date.

Kevin Darbyshire stands accused of brandishing an imitation Russian makarov self-loading pistol with intent to cause victim Nabli Ahmed to believe that unlawful violence would be used against him.

Darbyshire, 37, of no fixed abode, also stands accused of affray.

Both offences are alleged to have taken place in Wigan on September 13 last year.

Darbyshire, who has already been remanded in custody, is set to appear before Wigan Magistrates’ Court via videolink from prison next Monday (March 30).

He is expected to enter pleas to both offences at the next court date.
