POLICE are investigating after a man was found hanged in a large thicket of shrubs.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) were called to the patch of open land off Beverley Road in Marsh Green at around 7.55am on Friday.
The body of the 33-year-old man was found by a member of the public who called the ambulance services.
Residents living nearby expressed horror at the grim discovery, which was made near a popular walking route for local school pupils and their parents.
Police cordoned off the area for further investigations but have since confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
A number of floral tributes have been laid at the scene.
A file has now been passed to the coroner.
