Kohei Konishi attended college for three days shadowing students Josh Killilea and Mio Okubo.

He took part in A-level classes in biology, maths, physics, chemistry and Spanish, as well as taking the chance to socialise with his peers and compare Tokyo with Wigan.

Kohei found the classes to be of real interest as he has hopes to become an engineer in the future.

Mio speaks a little Japanese and so was able to brush up his language skills.

Josh said: “I’ve really enjoyed having Kohei around and have discovered lots about Japan that I did not know. I hope we can stay in touch in the future.”
