Man, 24, in dock on trafficking charge

A Wigan man is one of 14 defendants accused of rape, people trafficking and child sex offences.

Isaac Lowther, of Little Lane Caravan Park, Goose Green, Wigan, appeared at Mold Crown Court along with the 13 other men on Friday last week in relation to the case which involves allegations that they provided two underage schoolgirls to others for sexual purposes at a number of locations.

Lowther, 24, pleaded not guilty to four counts of rape, three of people trafficking, one of possessing a bladed article and one of inciting a girl under 14 to engage in sexual activity.

Lowther, who was bailed to an address in Whittington, Oswestry, pleaded guilty to one charge of possessing cannabis.

The judge concluded that all 14 men must face trial but that there were so many the group would be tried in two groups.

Lowther’s trial will begin on March 9 next year along with seven others who also face charges of rape and people traffiking.

They are:

Thomas Lloyd Wilson, 18, of Warren Road, Market Drayton who denied three rape charges

Levi Gorman, 18, of Ince Lane, Elton, Chester, one charge of rape and one of human trafficking.

Thomas David Beaney, 21, Chester Road, Deeside, one count of rape and one of sexual assault.

Miles Berry, 23, of of King’s Road, Connah’s Quay, three counts of rape and one charge of people trafficking for sexual exploitation.

James Anthony Doran, 23, of Maidstone, one rape charge, two of sexual assault, people trafficking, possessing an indecent video clip of a child and distributing that video clip.

Paddy Doran, 18, of Oil Lane, Liverpool, two charges of rape and one charge of people trafficking.

Stephen Berry, 18, of Factory Road in Sandycroft, faces one rape count.

The first trial will begin on January 5 next year.

The defendants are:

Rocky Evans, 22, of Old Hall Road, Elton, Chester, four charges of rape, one of sexual touching and two of people trafficking for sexual exploitation.

James Dean Evans, 21, of Alvaney View in Elton who was bailed to an address on Bambers Lane, Blackpool, denied three charges of rape.

Jimmy Dean Holden, 19, of River View caravan park, Ton House Lane, Widnes, two rape charges.

Silvester Martin Price, 19, of Albany Park, Oswestry, faces one rape charge.

Danny Arthur Roberts, 31, of Park Hall Caravan site, Oswestry, one rape charge.

Billy Joe Evans, 21, of a caravan site at Park Hall, Oswestry, one rape charge.
