Man charged with murder after street attack death
A man has been charged with the murder of Edward Wood, who died after being attacked.
Dwayne Turner, 28, of Railway Road, Leigh has been charged with murder and remanded to appear before Wigan Magistrates Court tomorrow, Friday.
At around 11:45pm on Wednesday 4 May 2016, police were called by the ambulance service to Railway Road, Leigh as they were treating a man who was in a life threatening condition.
He was subsequently taken to hospital where he tragically died a short time later.
The man has since been formally identified as 50-year-old Edward Wood.
