A WIGAN man has been charged with numerous offences for the tragic death of teenager Isobelle Woodall after a car crash earlier this year.

Stuart Rudd of Walkden Avenue East has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, drink driving, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.

This is in relation to the death of the 19-year-old who died after a collision at Central Park Way on the evening of August 16.

Police established that a white Ford Focus ST attempted to overtake a car in front before being involved in a head on collision with a black Peugeot 206.

Isobelle, who was travelling as a passenger in the Peugeot, sustained serious head injuries and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Her 27-year-old boyfriend, who was driving, also suffered serious injuries.

It’s believed that Isobelle, who lives in Welshpool in Wales, was in Wigan visiting relatives. Hundreds of tributes were paid to the youngtser at the time of her death.

Rudd, 39, has been bailed to appear at Wigan Magistrates Court on November 25.
