Man charged with rape of young boys

A MAN has been charged with numerous offences of sexual abuse against boys in Wigan.

Wayne Kelly, 38, of no fixed abode, has been charged with four counts of rape of a male under the age of 16 and one count of sexual assault.

He was remanded to appear before Salford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday August 29.

This is in relation to a joint investigation carried out by the Greater Manchester Police Wigan Child Sexual Exploitation team and the Wigan Council Safeguarding Board into sexual offences committed against young boys.
