Man dies after crash

A MAN has died following a collision involving three cars in Skelmersdale.

A man, who is yet to be named, died as his Chrysler overturned and landed on its roof in Grimshaw Road, near the roundabout with Stannanought Road at 3pm on Friday. He was treated by paramedics, but died at the scene.

Two other cars – a blue Volvo and a silver Audi were also involved in the collision, but both drivers escaped unharmed.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently in custody.
