A MAN has been jailed after he stabbed a man repeatedly in the street.
Raymond Gardner, 41, of no fixed address was found guilty of Section 18 Assault at an earlier hearing.
He was sentenced today, Wednesday 3 December 2014, at Liverpool Crown Court to 10-and-a-half years in prison and will serve an extended period of four years on licence on his release.
Detective Constable Rachel Forsythe, said: “Gardner viciously attacked his victim with a kitchen knife on a quiet street and people were shocked by the level of violence they saw.
“The victim was badly injured, with fourteen separate injuries and needed surgery. Thankfully he has recovered but he still bears scars of the attack, one on his face and one on his thigh.”
