THREE children who went missing from their school in Wigan have been found safe in Manchester.
Jake Lister, Connor Tomlinson and Jordan Edwards went missing from Newbridge Learning Centre in Platt Bridge at about 10am on Tuesday morning and were not found until yesterday afternoon in the care of a 22-year-old man, who was known to Jake.
The families of the boys, who are all aged between 11 and 12, launched a huge Facebook campaign to track them down as well as searching the streets themselves.
Jessica Lister, Jake’s aunt, said: “This is so out of character for Jake, he would never do anything without telling his mum and we thought he definitely would not stay away from home overnight.
“We were out from 10am in the morning on Tuesday looking all over the place for the boys and didn’t get home until about 2am.
“I was out again at 9am, as were the police and loads of friends and family. We have even set up a Facebook group.”
Jake, 12, who has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), is from Mosley Common, and the other two boys are from Leigh and Hag Fold.
