Motorist asks to be banned

A WIGAN woman who was caught driving illegally along the same road twice in the same week has been banned.

Kelly Foster was first stopped by police while driving an Audi A3 along Bickershaw Lane on May 8.

Police checks confirmed that she did not hold a valid driving licence or valid insurance.

Amazingly, the 32-year-old was then stopped on the same road just seven days later.

This time she was caught driving a Vauxhall Astra - again without a valid licence or insurance.

Foster, of Simpkin Street, Abram, told Wigan Magistrates’ Court that she now wanted to be banned from driving to “start afresh”.

Justices ordered Foster to pay two fines of £128 each, £70 in costs and two £15 victim surcharges.

They also disqualified her from driving for six months.
