A driver provided a positive drugs test when police stopped her in Wigan

Officers spotted the motorist on Pemberton Road in Winstanley last night (April 9).

The woman, 42, driving the car was found to be unlicensed and uninsured and failed a drug wipe for cannabis.

Officers seized the vehicle she had been driving.

She was then taken to the police station where she provided a blood sample before being released under investigation.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police's (GMP) Wigan West district said: "If you know if any uninsured, unlicensed or drug drivers then call the police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
