A MAN arrested by police probing the murder of a Wigan dad has been eliminated from enquiries.
The unnamed 35-year-old had been detained soon after Francis Farrell was found seriously injured in the street in the early hours of June 17.
He was arrested on suspicion of assaulting the Beech Hill 56-year-old who died four days later from a head wound.
But detectives today announced that the man had been discounted from the inquiry.
They have repeated appeals for help in tracking down the killer. Anyone with details is asked to ring the incident room on 0161 856 5448 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
